I Dreamt aYear
By Michelle Grifka

The only thing I want
is to dream like I once did
Under the cover of a bold night,
I journeyed forward
I was not,
but someone else
A new one, reborn,
and yet it was as if “I” had always been
and always would, until “I” died.
And while I wandered through this
an endless universe for me to live
I was yet not there.
If I was not there,
time had no hold on me,
thus; a year was an hour,
a month, a minute
Recollection, immediate.
Each night I am reborn
A different spirit
would I have no reflection,
like a vampire?
Is that who vampires were,
some dream traveler in their millennia-long night?
I cannot say, but to know,
I long for these places,
my feet long to walk those paths between stars
My heartbeats echoing between the galaxies
each night, a new era begins.
Like I said, I haven't written much lately, but this is fairly recent. I can't judge if it's any good or not, because I'm feeling pretty negative about all my writing. You be the judge.

Thats really deep. I've felt like that before, sometimes when I wander around I get that feeling. I can see how you would have that in a dream, kinda like a weird 'falling' feeling.
If you want to ignore my incorrect assumsion that I know what your talking about, go ahead. Thats some really nice poetry. Whenever I write something it's stale.
